Today I want to talk about positive affirmations. How we need to set out own goals of what we want to achieve for the day, week, month, year, 5 years, 10 years, or lifetime. But first you need some foundations. Ethics you live by, personality qualities you want people to notice, ideals that you will not compromise.
Create a mantra for yourself… Mine is ‘I am kind and compassionate, I am positive and uplifting, I am motivated and productive.’
Every day I wake up and say those words to myself to get me in the right frame of mind. I have it written on my whiteboard in my office with all my 2015 goals I want to achieve for the year.
I am starting to learn to wake up not worried about the concerns of the day before. It is quite liberating!! You start with a clear head, get up and exercise (as getting your exercise out of the way before the day starts puts you in a great frame of mind), do your morning routine and just get into whatever the day delivers you.
Another thing to understand is to care LESS of what people think of you… care MORE about how you want to live your life, and not how others expect you to live your life. Surround yourself with motivating people and tell them how much you appreciate them. TELL THEM! The more you make someone smile with your grace, thankfulness and honesty, the more that will spur you to do more great things in your life.
I would love it if you could tell me what goals you have set for the year, and if you have a mantra for yourself. Add your mantra in the comments field below.
Enjoy this beautiful day!
